STAY ON MISSION… God’s got you!
Times may seem dark, unnerving, and unsettling… disaster may be lurking at every turn… your fields may be laying bear with little to eat… and fear may be trying to make a comeback… you may see troubles on the rise ...............but God says:
Don’t lose heart… Stay on mission… I’ve got you! Keep praying, worshipping, preaching, and seeking My face. This is not the time to waver, drift off or lose focus. It's not long now... Have faith in Me and let Jesus deal with the devil!
Remember: … The dawn always wins. Light always dispels darkness. What looks like disaster and calamity is in fact the beginning of your victory. The darkest time may be just before the dawn, but every new dawn is armed with light and always wins. Your new dawn comes armed with a SUDDENLY for your breakthrough… not long now... STAY ON MISSION! Resist the devil and his threats. He has no power over you. Your mission is to love, follow, obey, and worship God… DO THAT!
You win by focusing on God!
You're not called to fight the devil. You're called to stand despite him. [Ephesians 6:11]
RESIST THE DEVIL and don’t fall for his distractions! Don’t let him draw you into a battle God does not want you to fight. All over the world right now… He is trying to get between believers and their calling from God. Don’t be fooled… He is trying to get people to stop doing what God called them to do. He is calling the Nehemiah's off the wall and David's off the battlefields. Don’t fall for it! Focus on God and let Him take care of the devil. DON’T FORGET… This is not your fight and not your mission… you're not Jesus!
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [1 John 3:8] … Jesus already soundly defeated our enemy at the cross.
God is big enough to provide, take care of and protect His children. That’s His job! Your job... your mission is... to worship God and preach the Gospel! Do that! You are called to introduce God’s KINGDOM everywhere you go. STAY ON MISSION… If the devil gets in the way…step on him & keep going! It’s not your job to re-fight the devil.
Be strong (endunamoo -receive strength) in the Lord and in the power of His might! [Ephesians 6:10] Stay alert! (Nēpsate grēgorēsate -Be sober-minded, calm, and awake) Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour (katapiein -consume, overwhelm). Be firm in your faith and resist him. (antistēte hō stereoi -Don’t be distracted from your sacred course) [1 Peter 5:8–9]
RESIST here means to persistently and tirelessly keep as much distance between you and the thing wanting to distract you! Ephesians 4:27 says: give the devil no foothold or place to establish himself in your life and thoughts.
It is wise to remember this is God’s FIGHT…
it is His STRENGTH…
it is His KINGDOM…
and it is His ARMOR!
That means to GO, to STAND and to RESIST…
.... is to rest so completely in the Lord that nothing the enemy does has the smallest bearing on our joy, peace, or mission. We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We tear down arguments and every presumption set up against the knowledge of God; and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. [2 Corinthians 10:3-5]
Like God said to King Jehoshaphat: - The battle is not yours, but God’s! [2 Chronicles 20:15] Trust in God and have confidence in His promises! We walk in victory! We pray from victory! We live in victory! This is our inheritance as the children of God.
Not long now… MAKE READY NOW! BE READY NOW!
NOW is important. It’s when you feel many things pressing in and asking for your time and attention that STAYING ON MISSION is important. Revivals are known to come at the most unexpected, most hedonistic and inconvenient times.
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. [Philippians 4:8]
