The moment you were FULLY immersed into the Anointed One… was the moment He FULLY covered you with His anointing!
It was faith that immersed you into Jesus, the Anointed One, and now you are covered and clothed with His anointing. For all who were baptized INTO Christ have put ON Christ, like putting on new clothes. [Galatians 3:27] A new garment is needed when the old one is destroyed.
Paul says by faith a person says “goodbye” to who and what they were before in exchange for the greater blessing of being united in Christ. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. [Colossians 3:3] Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [2 Corinthians 5:17] It is a FRESH start and a NEW you!
What happens when you’re immersed into Christ is a miracle!
In an instant you’ve become NEW and unrecognizable to sin and the devil. God has relocated you out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of Heaven. The devil can’t own you when Jesus already does. Your old demons should not be able to find you, because you’ve completely changed address. Now… You don’t go where you used to go, you don’t hang out where you used to hang out and you don’t hang around who you used to hang out with. Your marital status now says:
TALKEN! You are IN CHRIST!
When you’re fully immersed in Christ your old habits, addictions and sins should not be able to find you.
Being anointed by Christ MUST activate your journey into taking on His name and becoming like Him! Everything else should be beneath not beside you! Anything else is an unequal yoke! Anything else is unfaithfulness since you’ve consented to be joined, wedded, and covenanted into Jesus’ yoke! The fact of salvation is – you’ve consented to be bound to Christ forevermore. It was your promise that brought the faith that made it possible.
YOU have put off the old man with his deeds. YOU must put on your new nature and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. [Colossians 3:9-10] Jesus said: Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble. In Me you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. [Matthew 11:29-30] Put it on and keep it on like you do clothing! Jesus does not force this change of clothing on anyone. No, He invites and encourages those who follow Him to make good on their promise to be loyal and FOLLOW HIM.
Everyone is yoked to something… the question is:
If not with Christ… then with who?
When you belong to God… you should think, speak, and act like it. You can’t entertain and play with the devil in the dark and think you’re STILL being faithful to God. To those who choose to reject this wonderful anointing Jesus offers Peter quotes Proverbs 26:11: “As a dog returns to its own vomit, so is the fool who repeats his foolishness”… to ask: Why would anyone after receiving such a great blessing of life and freedom be like a dog who wants to return to its own vomit? [2 Peter 2:22] Paul insists: STAND FAST therefore in the LIBERTY by which Christ has made you free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. [Galatians 5:1]
In Christ you’ve outgrown that yoke!
That yoke has been destroyed because of the anointing. [Isaiah 10:27] Don’t go back to anything that would cause you to be joined again with anything that is not Christ!
Today and every day your main job is….
STAY FULLY IMMERCED AND COVERED IN HIM!
….and don’t let any other yoke find its way around your neck!
